This fitout at 550 Bourke St, working with the design team from Topic interiors really gave us the opportunity to make the ceiling the highlight. The exposed ceilings finished in feature colours were a highlight that needed to be accentuated. As wel the large circular cutouts. The ideal fiting with which to do this was [...]

We are loving the current trend of leaving the ceiling exposed in so many office fit outs. It gives us a lot of scope to be creative, and do more with the lighting than if there is a standard T-Bar ceiling. Immediately on entering the reception we created interest by using L shaped lengths of  [...]

The hero of this tenancy is definitely the custom blue mesh ceiling. The challenge was to light up the space without suspending from, fixing to, or recessing into the mesh tiles. We provided a number of prototypes to the builder, eventually settling on the GEO 4937 recessed profile. In the boardroom we used the GEO [...]

These latest trend towards large mesh ceilings  has made for some interesting lighting challenges. We don't want to suspend anything under the mesh, and there is nothing to recess a fitting in to. In this tenancy, we decided to suspend track above the mesh, with the track spots suspended to the level of the underside [...]

We enjoyed another collaboration with the team at Topic interiors for more speculative suites at 530 Collins St, this time on the Podium side. The ceiling in the boardroom was made up of dark timber ceiling tiles so black fittings were the selected option. We used the new S1 Surface Mounted Downlight around the perimeter. [...]

This suite at 189 Flinders Lane was inspired by Tokyo Drift. The interior designers at Topic Interiors came up with the concept and colour scheme. We decided to play along with the idea, incorporating light fittings that drift around bends, and snake through the reception, just like Takashi in his Nissan 350Z in The Fast [...]

This suite at 189 Flinders Lane was designed with a New York City scheme in mind We used our GEO PS6090 profile in the open plan work station areas. It's always fun to work with the design team at Topic Interiors, especially when they come to us with Multi tenancy fit-outs that are all themed. The co-lab booths (the mine) at 530 Collins St came up looking great. The designers wanted to disrupt as little as possible, the lines of the boards used to make the barrels, so we used our smallest profile, the GEO PS0809  https://www.interglo.com.au/product/geo-0809/ recessed between the boards. While tiny in size, at only 8mm wide, this still [...]
